The Guyana flag is known as the "Golden Arrow" because of the arrowhead that flies across the green field.
The Guyana flag has five colors. Green is for the agricultural and forested nature. White stands for the rivers and the water. Gold represents the country's mineral wealth. Black portrays the endurance of the Guyana people and the red represents the zeal and dynamic nature of Guyana.
